Occupying the heart of the historic Rancho Santa Anita, the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden is a unique 127-acre botanical garden and historical site jointly operated by the Los Angeles Arboretum Foundation and the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation. Located in the city of Arcadia, and home to plant collections from all over the world, including many rare and endangered species, the Arboretum also houses outdoor historical landmarks representative of the major phases of California history.

The Challenge:

The Los Angeles Arboretum & Botanic Garden was looking to upgrade its existing telephone system to one that was current, easy to use and flexible. With their existing equipment, changing auto attendant or voice mail settings meant filing a formal request with a third party — a cumbersome process that could take up to a month for implementation. The Solution: In early 2011, The Los Angeles Arboretum Foundation issued a proposal request for a new phone system. Of the six companies who submitted bids, Panasonic emerged as the foundation's top choice.
